Atlantic Standard Time

Atlantic Standard Time (AST), also Atlantic Time, is the standard time of Atlantic zone which includes easternmost parts of mainland Canada, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. It is based on the mean solar time at 60° west longitude. Atlantic Standard Time is four hours behind GMT, except during daylight saving when it is three hours behind.
