Augmentative

Augmentative is a term in grammar for an affix or a derived word that reinforces the original meaning of the word to which affix or suffix is added. Augmentatives augment the meanings. For example, Viola (ancient simple musical instrument made of reeds) is the original word from which violin (modern musical instrument) is derived, or the word borro (ditch) suffixed with 'one' becomes borrone (ravine).
