Aumale

Aumale (1822-1897), also Duc d'Aumale, full name Henri-Eugène-Philippe-Louis d'Orléans, was the fifth son of the Citizen King Louis Philippe and Queen Marie-Amélie of France. He distinguished himself in Algiers, and was governor of Algeria. However, he resigned when his father abdicated. He lived in England for twenty years after, acknowledged the Republic, and left his estate and valuables to the French nation.
