Aureole

Aureole, also aureola, is a circle of light or glow depicted in art around the head or body of a person, typically a holy person. In astronomy, it is another term for corona of a star, particularly the sun which is visible as glow surrounding it during a total solar eclipse. In anatomy, biology, and medicine, it is just another term for areola, a small circular area or ring on skin, leaf, of insect's wing. In Geology, it is the part that surrounds an igneous intrusion in a metamorphosed rock .
