Autism

Autism is a term in psychology and medicine for a mental condition that is characterized by difficulty in communicating, using language and abstract concepts, and forming relationship with others. The condition is typically present from early childhood.

It should also be noted that the term was originally used in early 20th century as a symptom of schizophrenia and other mental disorders in which fantasy dominates reality. The term is not used now in this sense of the term.
