Avalanche

Avalanche is a mass of snow, ice, rocks, or any other material falling rapidly down from a mountain to its foot. A sudden arrival of a large and overwhelming quantity of anything is also sometimes referred to as avalanche of that thing. In physics, it denotes generation of ions and electrons by collision of a fast-moving ion or electron.
