Aventurine

Aventurine is translucent mineral, named so because of its accidental discovery. It contains small reflective particles, typically quartz having mica or iron compounds. A feldspar containing hematite is also called aventurine. The word is also used as modifier, such as aventurine glass, which is brownish in colour and contains sparkling particles of copper and gold.
