Avulsion

Avulsion is a term in medicine and law. In medicine, it is pulling or tearing away the structure of the body. It may be caused by an injury or trauma, or during surgery. In law, it is sudden separation of a piece of land from a property by flooding or change in the course of a river, and its subsequent attachment to another property.
