Ayahuasca

Ayahuasca is tropical vine native to the Amazon region in South America. It has hallucinogenic property, and therefore a hallucigenic drink is prepared from its bark. It belongs to the genus Banisteriopsis, and the family Malpighiaceae. Several species of this vine are found in the region including the Banisteriopsis caapi.
