Ayn Rand

Ayn Rand (1905-1982), also Alice O'Connor, born Alisa Zinovyevna Rosenbaum, was a Russian-born US writer, novelist, screenwriter, and philosopher. She is known for her fiction and for developing a philosophical system she named Objectivism, and therefore also known as objectivist. She was also known as anti-collectivist and pro-capitalist. Her famous novels include The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. She advocated self-actualization.
