Azalea

Azalea is a deciduous flowering shrub that flourishes in dry soil. It is cultivated as ornamental for its clusters of brightly coloured flowers. Some of the varieties or cultivars have fragrant flowers. It belongs to the heath family, technically called Ericaceae. It belongs to the genus Rhododendron. However, azaleas are characteristically smaller than most other rhododendrons.
