Aztecs

Aztecs are a civilised race of the American Indian people of small stature, of reddish-brown skin, lean, and broad featured, which occupied the Mexican plateau and remained dominant for some centuries before the Spaniards visited it, and were overthrown by the Spaniards in 1520. They are named after their legendary place of origin.
