Babble

Babble is the sound of people talking quickly in a way that makes their talk too difficult to understand. Confused, excited, or foolish talks of a person is also called babble. In telephonic talks, babble is the background disturbance due to interference from conversations on other telephone lines. It is also the sound of flowing water over stones in a stream.
