Baccalaureate

Baccalaureate is a bachelor's degree, a qualifying examination for higher education, or a religious service at some educational institutions containing a farewell sermon to the graduating class, or before commencement of classes for a new batch. It may be mentioned here that 'bacca lauri' in French is 'laurel berry' formerly awarded to scholars.
