Backstroke

Backstroke is a term in swimming for a stroke performed on the back. In a backstroke swimming, the legs are extended and kicking the water, while the arms are lifted alternately out of water in backward circular motion. The backstroke is also a swimming race in backstroke style, typically of a specified length or kind, such as 500-metre backstroke.
