Baglioni

Baglioni (1571-1644), full name Cavaliere Giovanni Baglioni, was an Italian fresco-painter of distinction. He was also known as the "Deaf Man of the Barozzo". He was born in Rome. Though he was a painter of note, his artistic works were overshadowed by his biographies of his contemporaries. "Lives of the Painters, Sculptors, and Architects" living in Rome, from 1573 to 1642 — from the pontificate of Gregory XIII to that of Urban VIII, was his chief work. Pope Paul V created him a Knight of the Order of Christ for his painting of Saint Peter raising Tabitha from the dead. One of his excellent work is "The Last Supper" which is at San Nicolo in Carcere.
