Bahrain

Bahrain is a country in Western Asia region. Manama is its capital city, surface area is 694 sq km, and currency is dinar. The country consists of a group of islands in the Persian Gulf. Arabic is its official language. The economy of this country is dependent on the refining and export of fossil oil.

Bahrain was under the Portuguese rule in the 16th century, came under the Persians in the 17th century, became a British protectorate in 1861, and gained independence in 1971.
