Bahutu

Bahutu are the Bantu-speaking people. They are in majority in Rwanda and Burundi. They were historically dominated by the Tutsi people, which led to antagonism between the Tutsi and Bahutu peoples. A large scale ethnic violence was erupted in 1994 between the two, especially in Rwanda. A member of the Bahutu is called a Hutu.
