Bait-and-switch

Bait-and-switch is a term in advertising, for such an advertising that is an apparent bargain, but is not so in reality. It is generally illegal because the real hidden intention was to substitute inferior or more expensive goods than the advertised ones. Many of the sales schemes advertised now a days are in reality bait-and-switch schemes.
