Balloon payment

Balloon payment is the repayment of the outstanding principal amount of the loan taken by a borrower at the end of the loan period at one go. The amount thus paid is usually a large portion of the principal amount, since the borrower, hitherto, have been paying only the interest or/and a little of the borrowed principal loan.
