Ballot box

Ballot box is a box in which ballot papers are dropped by the voters after they mark their choice of candidates. In the beginning of voting, the empty ballot boxes are sealed have with a hole to drop the completed ballots. At the end of voting, the ballot boxes are totally sealed and taken to a place for counting of votes. The ballot boxes are unsealed there and the votes on the ballots are counted.

The democratic principles and methods are also called the ballot box.
