Baobab
Baobab is a tree, species of which are native to Africa and Australia. The African tropical tree is a large variety. Both the short and large varieties are found. It reaches heights of 5 to 30 metre (16 to 98 ft). It is also remarkable for the girth of its trunk, the thickness of its branches, and their expansion. It has trunk diameters up to 11 metre (36 ft). It yields large edible fruit. Its leaves and seeds are used in medicine. It can also live to a great age. Its belongs to the genus Adansonia and the family Bombacaceae. Several species of this tree is found of which African Adansonia digitata and the Australian Adansonia gregorii are particularly noteworthy.
