Barbary Ape

Barbary ape is a tailless monkey of gregarious habits, native of the mountainous parts of Barbary in the northwestern Africa, and of which there is a colony on the Rock of Gibraltar, the only one in Europe. The zoological name of this tailless macaque monkey is Macaca sylvana. It belongs to the family Cercopithecidae.
