Barge

Barge is a boat. It is flat-bottomed, and usually used for carrying freight, typically on rivers or canals. These boats are sometimes powered to avoid the necessity of its being towed by another boat.

The boat used by chief officers of a warship, or a long ornamental boat used for pleasure ride or ceremony, is also also called barge.
