Barnet
Barnet is a town in historic county of Hertfordshire, that extends partly to Middlesex, a suburb of London. The London Borough of Barnet incorporates areas in parts of both the historical counties. It has been a favourite resort of Londoners, and has been hosting a large annual horse and cattle fair, which was started in 1588. By 1834 it was the largest cattle fair, but later the focus changed with the change of time to horse sale and pleasure activities. It was scene of a battle in 1471, at which Warwick, the king-maker, was slain.Nearby pages
