Bartholin's gland

Bartholin's gland is a term in anatomy for one of a pair of glands lying near the entrance of the vagina. It is named so by the famous Danish anatomist Caspar Bartholin (1655-1738) as a tribute to his father. It secrete a fluid that lubricates the vulva, the reproductive track in a female mammal.
