Basilosaurus

Basilosaurus is a name given to a large marine cetacean of the Eocene epoch (56.5 million to 35.4 million years ago). Fossils of this creature were discovered in the early 1990s. It had long slender body, and vestigial fore and hind limbs. It belonged to the genus Basilosaurus, order Cetecea, and suborder Archaeoceti.
