Basin

Basin is the name given to a bowl that is typically used for washing hands or utensils, attached to a wall, with faucets connected to water supply. The open, round, and wide containers, used for holding liquids are also called basins, and also such a natural depression on the surface of the earth containing water. A tract of land drained by a river and its tributaries is also called basin. It is Basin is the total area from which surface runoff is carried away by a drainage system.
