Basking shark

Basking shark is a shark. It is large in size, found chiefly in the open ocean, feeds exclusively on plankton, and often swims slowly close to the surface. Its zoological name is Cetorhinus maximus, and it belongs to the family Cetorhinidae, of which it is the only member.
