Bastia

Bastia is a port city on the northeastern coast of the French island of Corsica. It is the chief port of the island and also the most commercial one. The city was once the capital. It was founded by the Genoese in 1383, and taken by the French in 1553. It exports wine, oil, fruits, &c.
