Battle cry

Battle cry is a word or phrase shouted by soldiers at the time of going into battle. These are intended to boost up their own morale and express solidarity on the one hand and to intimidate the enemy on the other. A slogan promoting a cause is also called a battle cry, especially when the the group of people promoting the cause are involved in a lengthy and difficult conflict or struggle. The slogan expresses their ideal.
