Battle of Balaclava

Battle of Balaclava was a battle of Crimean War. It was fought in 1854 between Russia and an alliance of British, French, and Turkish forces. The battle was fought in and around the port of Balaclava, now Balaklava, in the southern Crimea. It ended inconclusively, however, is chiefly remembered as the scene of the Charge of the Light Brigade, or the "Charge of the Six Hundred."
