Bay of Biscay

Bay of Biscay is a bay in the Atlantic Ocean. It is situated in the North Atlantic Ocean, extending from Cape Ortegal, in Spain, to Cape Finisterre, in France, ie between the norther coast of Spain and the western coast of France. The bay is about 400 miles broad, andof depth varying from 20 to 200 fathoms. It is one of the stormiest of the seas, noted for its strong currents particularly under southwest winds.
