Beach flea

Beach flea, also called sand flea or sand hopper, is a small crustacean of the seashore. It typically lives among seaweeds growing in the sea or on rocks below the high-water marks. It leaps if disturbed. Several genera of this creature is found, most notable among them is Orchestia. It belongs to the order Amphipoda.
