Bead

Bead is a small piece of glass, stone, or other similar material. These are typically spherical, and are perforated for threading onto fabric, or making necklace or rosary. Anything similar to a bead is also called by this name, whether a drop of a liquid on a surface, a small knob forming the front sight of a gun, reinforced inner edge of a pneumatic tire that grips the rim of the wheel, or an ornamental molding resembling a string of beads.
