Beast

Beast is another name for an animal, especially a four-footed, dangerous, and large one. Domestic animals, especially bovine farm animal, are also called beasts. The term is also used humourously denoting an animal as opposed to a human, but such a use is now considered archaic. The word is used also for an inhumanly cruel or depraved person. The beast also refers to the brutish or untamed inner being, such as the beast within us. An unpleasant person or thing is also informally referred to as beast.
