Beat generation

Beat generation were the young people of the 1950s, who were associated with a movement rejecting conventional society and favouring Zen Buddhism, modern jazz, free sexuality, and recreational drugs. Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg were among the famous writers associated with the movement.
