Beaux arts
Beaux arts is a French term for 'fine arts'. A classical decorative style of architecture maintained by École des Beaux-Arts (a school of fine arts) in Paris, especially in the 19th century, is also called Beaux Arts. It was a short lived movement, which spread in several countries in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In the United States, the movement began around 1885 and came to an end around 1925.
