Beech fern

Beech fern is a fern, a flowerless plant with triangular and deeply lobed fronds. It is native to eastern North America, and found chiefly in moist woodland habitats and streamsides. It belongs to the genus Thelypteris and the family Polypodiaceae. It has two species — The "broad beech fern" (Thelypteris hexagonptera) and the "long beech fern" (Thelypteris phegopteris).
