Beersheba

Beersheba, literally "the Well of the Oath", is a village in the south of Canaan, and the most southerly, 27 miles from Hebron. It is associated with Dan, in the north, to denote the limit of the land and what lies between. It lies in a pastoral country abounding in wells, and is frequently mentioned in patriarchal history.
