Beet leafhopper

Beet leafhopper is a leafhopper, a serious pest to beets and several other plants especially of the gourd family. It is found in North America, west of Mississippi River. It carries a virus that causes curly top. Its zoological name is Circulifer tenellus, and it belongs to the family Cicadellidae.
