Behring Strait

Behring Strait is a strait about 50 miles wide between Asia and North America, which connects the Arctic Ocean with the Pacific. It was discovered by the Danish navigator Vitus Behring in 1728, who was sent out on a voyage of discovery by Peter the Great.
