Bender

Bender is an informal term. It is used for a person or an object that bends something else, such as iron rod bender. The term is also used informally for a wild drinking spree.

Bender is also a town in Moldova (de jure) but in Transnistria (de facto). It is a town of historical importance which was part of Bessarabia, a region in eastern Europe, remarkable for the siege which Charles XII of Sweden sustained there after his defeat at Pultowa.
