Benefactive

Benefactive is a term in Grammar for a semantic case or construction of a sentence that expresses the noun that benefits from the action of a verb. For example — 'Father purchased a toy for his son'.

The benefactive case, or a word, or expression in it is also called benefactive, such as 'for his son' in the example given in the preceding paragraph.
