Benito Juarez

Benito Juarez (1806-1872) was president of Mexico. He was a Mexican revolutionary leader who played a key role in Mexican independence.

He was born in Oaxaca, of Indian extraction and was elected to the Presidency twice over, in 1861 and 1867, and died in office in 1872.

He in also known for his revolted against Santa Anna in 1855.
