Benzene Hexachloride

Benzene Hexachloride, BHC is short, is a term in chemistry for a compound of benzene and chlorine. Its chemical formula is C6H6Cl6. It is used as an insecticide.

This term is also used as a general term for lindane, which is an isomer of benzene hexachloride, having chemical formula C6H12Cl6, also used as an insecticide, but its use has lately been restricted due to its toxicity and persistence in the environment.
