Berber

Berber is a member of an indigenous people of North Africa called the Berbers. The majority of them are now either settled farmers or migrant workers.

Berber is also the native language of the family of the Afro-Asiatic languages spoken in the mountainous parts of Barbary. It is spoken chiefly by the Berbers. The language has several different dialects including the Tamashek. However, there are scholars who maintain that the Tamashek and some other dialects are separate languages.

Anything of or relating to the Berbers and their languages are also referred to as Berber.
