Bering Sea
The Bering Sea is a sea in the Northern Pacific Ocean. The sea, along with the
Bering Strait, divides Eurasia and the Americas. It is linked to the Arctic Ocean by the Bering Strait. It is named after the Danish explorer
Vitus Bering (1681 — 1741), who was in service of Russian empire. This arm of the North Pacific Ocean lies between northern Siberia in Russia and Alaska. It is bounded on the south by the
Aleutian Islands.
