Bernard Berenson

Bernard Berenson (1865 - 1959) was an American art historian specializing in the Renaissance, born in Lithuania, educated in Boston (US) and died in Italy. His book "The Drawings of the Florentine Painters" was an international success. Some of his writings are thought to have largely contributed by his wife Mary.
