Berry

Berry is name of a fruit and the plant that bears it. The fruits are small roundish and juicy without a stone.

The word is used in botany as a term that refers to any fruit having seeds enclosed in a fleshy pulp, such as tomato.

Any of various kernels or seeds is also referred to as berry, such as coffee bean.

An egg of a fish or crustacean, or the roe (mass of eggs) of a lobster or similar creatures is also called berry.
